Travel
Getting into Las Vegas is fairly easy by air, and often times lodging can be found at exceptionally inexpensive rates. There are plenty of options for after climbing entertainment, and the city of Las Vegas has to be seen to be believed. But the best attribute is the wealth of climbing opportunities. The long routes on remote canyon walls are Red Rocks' specialty. And this on some of the best sandstone in the west!
Seasons
Climbing at Red Rocks is best in March through April, and then again in October through December. In January and February climbing is possible in some of the sunnier areas, but summer is just too hot! This is a great place to get an early jump on the climbing season when your home crag is still not in condition, as well as being a great end of season destination to further hone your skills.
